Mafia II Henry Tomasino
So was Henry really a government informer working for the feds? because both triads' boss and Leo said it and it sounds legit but on the Family/mafia album it says about exactly what he said, that his father was running away from musolini and then henry joined the mafia, but also after henry's story vito asks "how is your english so good?" and then it just cuts to shooting so he never answereed that question and it just feels like he got away from answering that question.

I've been stuck with that question too for a while now. So far as I'm concerned, the possibility is there, and the storyline is extremely well written. That's where the Mafia Series excells. So what I'm thinking is that Henry was actually a Fed

What about Vito's father? the port workers and steve himself say that he killed vito's father but in the family album it says that he was drunk and drowned.
He [Vito's father] might have been drunk and was drowned by Steve because of it?

As for Henry, ever notice how he never really answers questions and knows actually too much for position? He always either avoids them in a rather clever manner or replies to something like he talked to a few guys he knows.

Oh so he got drowned as a punishment for being drunk by steve, yeah.
As for henry, yeah seems legit.
I think so anyway because early in the game Vito mentions that his father drank a lot leaving the family with barely any money, even now they've moved to America in hopes to start a better life. I think it was Vito but can't be too sure, though. It's been a while I touched the early chapters of the game.

sooo, i know this is kind of late, but if ur still intersted in this topic, i think henry was not an informant, he did so many bad things and i dont think FBI would let him out of the prison. Plus, the story writer of the game, said it on twitter, that henry was framed by falcone.
My guess, Carlo Falcone asked Henry for information, and find some about the Chinese Mafia, thats why when they found out they killed him.

According to Mafia Wiki he was also an informant (Yes, I know it can be edited by anyone)

That was supposed to be the original story, but he left the team and the story was changed. So yes, Henry is a rat in the final version of Mafia 2.

In the mission Buzzsaw , when he's talking about his life, I think that is ultimately a cover story, because that's why Vito asks him "Then why is your English so good"? As a way to get the player thinking on it (my opinion). He's probably assigned to get dirt/knowledge on the families, so he picks one and butters up to them. After Clemente's death, he uses Vito as a way to get into the Falcone family. And that's all the info we're shown, the rest is speculation.

So my speculation is that either the "new" head of the Falcone's (or Leo, I mean, he had to be still getting knowledge about stuff while out of town, proof of that is when he picks vito up in Chapter 15). Perhaps the Chinese gave Leo some info, as a way to stop the bloodshed (not sure, we aren't given anymore info to entertain thoughts really), and Leo came out of exile to help Vito as a favor. *shrug*

Edit: My question is, who's the fourth guy on the cover art? Still don't know after all these years.

We were talking about Henry, but your comment is kind of hard to follow...
I'm just saying that Henry was originally supposed to be framed by Falcone. but the final version of the script changed it so he's actually a rat.

There doesn't seem to be a certain answer to this, but most people think it's Eddie Scarpa.
