I have a stupid question about Made Man Pack.
So I just got Mafia II from 2K's bundle and it seems that it's a standart edition and there's no Made Man pack DLC to buy. So do I need to get the Digital Deluxe edition now (will wait for 75-80% sale) just to receive a DLC or is it a waste of money ?

honestly i wouldnt worry about it. You only get a car and an outfit so it really isnt worth buying he game all over again. They dont sell it seperatly, i assume because it isnt enough to make up a pack big enough to sell.

they were pre order bonuses, and while most of the time those things usually get bundled or put back on sale as a dlc, in this case...only the made man content is included with the deluxe version.

here's some goodies that you can't buy.

http://www.mafia2game.com/preorder/gamestop.html

several retailers have content that to this day seems to be unavailable for purchase.

I'm pretty jealous actually.

Yes, made man gives you two very cool outfits and one of the fastest cars in the game but they are almost so appealing that they over shadow every other car/outfit you can buy. in short, nooooooooo do not buy a whole new copy just for that.

there's probably a way to access the dlc in any standard copy too, a lot of PC games keep the files that just require a little dev console manipulation to find.

They totally could sell it for 99 cents or even a few bucks for allllllll the content. Fallout New Vegas did this eventually and it was priced fairly reasonable for "exclusive" content.

Just enjoy the game, friend. You'll soon forget all about some irrelevent cosmetics.

What do you mean by 'goodies that you can't buy' ? Because I can see both Vegas and Hero packs for purchase.

You're right. I haven't looked closely enough.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it too. I have all the dlc including the Betrayal of Jimmy and I hardly ever use the costumes/cars. Just get the story dlc, especially Joe's adventures

the best cars definitely are exclusive to the DLC it seems. that Del whatever long ass name car you steal from the bookie is amaaaaaaaazing.

i was in the same spot you were but i thought that came with all the dlc and i realized it didnt then i looked around for what was added well you get a suit (which in clothing idgaf about) and 2 cars which you can only get by buying the digital deluxe and well sense im a car guy i loved like ive seen vids about the roller gl which isnt (but many state is the fastest car in the game) it is the third fastest? many say its the 2nd but it might be the 3rd fastest cause all pay attention to the "top speed". if your a true car guy you pay attention to speed and acceleration (im rambling on arent i :/ sorry its just i love cars) any way when the game goes on sale like you stated 75%-80% off it is well worth it getting digital deluxe cause the cars you get in the game are equivalent to 1-2 million dollars irl the 2 cars you get are the roller gl which stock in game has like 157...? 145? idk as the top speed thats not the real name of it in irl its a 1955 mercedes gullwing the other car is the cossack which if you pay close attention is in the first cutscence when vito goes to america but its not available in the actual game unless you buy the pack that car is a 1931 dusenburg j which was made in my home state of indiana. IN SHORT its an extra $2.50 for the digital deluxe and i dont regret it a bit, now is there dlc that you can live without yes the ww2 pack by dlc from best to worst. joes adv,the jimmy pack, vegas, digital deluxe, renegade, war hero. i hope this helps

I think it's better to complete the game without any of the DLC first. Getting free cars and extra outfits may ruin the experience. I haven't finished the game yet but I'm really taking my time and really enjoying the game so I may pick some of the extra content to replay through the game later on.

^ yeah it is a little immersion breaking.

that being said, the cars do not offer much in the way of a leg up on missions. the few times you gotta drive fast, any slightly upgraded car will suffice. especially since those missions can be drastically cut down by simply blocking your target and shooting them dead before they ever make it to their intended destination and trigger a massive shoot out.
