I didn't earn the achievement when i completed *The sacrifice*
I played that chapter many times on different difficulty - normal, advanced, expert and i still didn't get the achievement i supposed to. Yesterday i played with a friend on normal difficulty to see if it will work, he even played Bill for the second achievement *Kill Bill* but i didn't get both of them. I didn't get other achievements such as *Akimbo Assassin* Can someone explain why this happens?

For "kill Bill" you must played as Bill from start to finish to get the achievement.
As for "Akimbo assassin" you must only be equipped with the pistols. Don't even grab gas cans, propane tanks, molotov or pipe bombs

  • The Sacrifice triggers a DLC finale sequence which doesn't count as completing a typical campaign, thus voiding any chance of the Akimbo Assassin achievement and similar beat-a-campaign-esque achievements.
  • Only playing chapter 3 (the finale) counts as completing The Sacrifice, unlike all other official campaigns. I, as an example, have never played chapter 1 or 2, despite holding every achievement for this game.
  • In L4D1, you must play as Bill to obtain the Kill Bill achievement. In L4D2, it's the opposite effect; someone else must sacrifice themselves as Bill, potentially leading to confusion.
  • Despite what another user has told you, equipping weapons is fine, as long as they aren't fired, for the Akimbo Assassin achievement.

Akimbo assassin is a bit different thing here.

I played Bill and sacrificed him and didnt get the Akimbo achievement. You have to SURVIVE to get it.
Just do it on another campaign and it should trigger!

To get the "complete Sacrifice" you have to play all 3 chapters in it.
I got this and Kill Bill at same time.

Reminder - you dont get achievements if you use sv_cheats 1. If you want to use them, then type sv_cheats 0 in the end of console request.

like sv_cheats 1; give health; sv_cheats 0
the game will not understand you cheated and will not block getting achievements.

If you see in the console that they are disabled then just close and restart the game fully.

You won't get the Bill sacrifice achievement.
Francis hated the island idea that much he off'd himself to the horde

Old account, but as much as people think it's an achievement manager, the answer is much lamer. About 5 years ago, some modders looked into the exact causes of every achievement (because some of them were thought to be bugged) and one of us had an idea to speed-run all of them.
