How do i play using a nintendo switch controller?

Whenever i try to play it makes me use the keyboard, and when i try to make controller bindings nothing pops up, please help, i dont want my 5 bucks to go to waste.

Oh, btw, you cant play with a switch controller, you would need a plugin annnd switch controllers don't have plugins that let you connect them to your keyboard

yes you can, you just have to uhhh make some uhhhhh modifications

Well actually there is an exploit.

Step 1: All computers have a file called System32 that prevents exterior pluggins. Go to your file folder, search "System32" and delete it.

Step 2: Unplug the computer and wait five seconds before plugging it back in.

Step 3: Take the desired pluggin device and hook it up to the USB port on your PC, once a popup appears, click "Next".

Step 4: Drag your Steam icon and games folders to the recycle bin and click "Yes".

well i just cut the metal cover on a samsung charger to make it fit in my controller

Try use steam big picture, there you can configurate any controller, even a generic one
