How can I remove the barnacles from the game?
I have barnacle phobia and am a part of this steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Barnacle_phobia

Does anyone know of a way to remove the barnacles from the game? In hafl-life 2 I can do it by using the ent_remove_all npc_barnacle console command but it doesn't work in the original half-life games. Does anyone know how I can remove the barnacles from Opposing force and perhaps also blue-shift?

Does this work for opposing force and blue shift though? He says its for the original game.

i have an extreme phobia of fast zombies but it doesn't make me want to remove them from the game

No "just kill it please" comments. I would not have bothered making the thread if it were that simple. Just seeing those things makes me insane.

You're gonna have a hard time playing the game if you are scared of barnacles...
**SPOILER ALERT**
You use a barnacle as a "weapon" later in the game, and is required to be used to get from place to place...
So um... good luck with that.

I suppose that weapon could be replaced with some kind of grappling hook by modding the game... that'd still be weird but hey, if that works for him.

I don't mind the barnacle gun, its only barnacle enemies that I fear. Except in multiplayer where others also have the barnacle gun...

EDIT: Wait, isn't impulse 101 the all weapons cheat? So its not an actual way to remove the barnacles :(
