Dead: No, we know until the end that Mr Shepard is kept in a place where "No harm you can do, but no harm can come to you". So actually, it may be in stasis, but not dead since we know that he can still do harm and receive harm.
Stasis: Probably, he just is another Puppet of G-man's organization and so, his time hasn't come. "The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference" but there isn't wrong place for him... Yet.

But, I would love to see a sequel of Half-Life Opposing Force, or at least, see Adrian Shepard in HD... Maybe we can have a battle against Freeman which ends in being both teleported away and so, there isn't winner. Also, main plot could be Shepard searching for gouvernment/combines to seek revenge/liberate it's fall brothers/humanity (in case of the combine story, it happens in a specific place, maybe a 12 years later Black Mesa)

Oh, and I want also to see X aliens in HD, they are a part essential of Adrian Shepard

There was a sequel to Opposing Force that just came out yesterday on Steam called "Prospekt". Made by a single guy and greenlit by Valve, you play as Adrian Shepherd again plucked out of stasis to assist Gordon Freeman...however, I would not recommend it, but it is out there.

More like a fan sequel that builded up hype and failed, not that I find it that bad but it should of just been free as the modding community probably would welcome it with open hands. If you're going to sell it then you better have at least new content and have it as long as a normal half life game (as well as making it polished before release), Black Mesa's team worked at least 6-8 years until it released and the mod was build from the ground up (everything in the mod was new and all of the areas from the half-life 1 was giving a remix like touch up).

I'm alright with them putting a price tag on the mod (hell they say it would still be for free on moddb and their site even before putting a price tag on it) as that's hell of a lot of content/work they put in it, they deserve at least something. I'm not hating on Rich but please if your going to put a price tag on it, have at least some new content and polish the game up.

I'm hoping if HL3 ever is going to be released that we get to see what happen to Adrian, like if he got released then killed off or find him stuck in stasis and noting more (this is what probably will happen). However what I would like is to see him in action one more time (like fight against freeman to the death or fighting along side you) and maybe see the return of Race X (I CAN DREAM).

The gman said he would put him somewhere where no harm can be done to him, so I assume he's in stasis.

Though I would love to see a half life game (*cough* Half life 3 *cough*) where gordon and shepard work togheter(*cough* Half life 3 *cough*) and defeat the combine (*intense coughing* Half life 3 *cough*) and where race x comes back. (*intense coughing* *sputter* *gagging* Half life 3 *choke* *sputter* *cough*)

I think I've made my point.

No. He is in stasis like Gordon after HL and before HL2 was.

After seeing Half Life 2: Episode 1, I was really banking on the Gman pulling Shephard out of wherever he was keeping him to put him to use. If Freeman went rogue, then he's now a loose end, and as the Gman established to Shephard at the end of Opposing Force, he can't leave any. So sent Shephard out, the guy that adapted and survived just as well, if not better than Freeman, to hunt him down.

Sadly, that didn't happen. Shouldn't be surprised since that's technically a gearbox story, but hey, hope for the future.

I heard Naughty Dog wanted to buy the Half Life IP or whatever so they could do Half Life 3 for Valve.
I am very against flat out giving them Half Life 3, buuuuuut if they really wanted to give something Half Life related, I'd say throw the idea of Opposing Force 2 at them...
