About the Race X

maybe the Alliance somehow captured the X race or they also made a suppression field and unwound everyone because according to the canon, geneworms and other bosses in addition to the opossing force, they are supposedly the main ones like the Nihilanth and they were supposed to monitor their own fauna.

Apparently Antlions were supposed to be part of a different faction from Xenians in HL².

They are not from Xen, they have no relation to Xen at all. Black Mesa scientists actually were the first to open up a portal to Race X’s home world (which is from another dimension, unlike Xen which is a Borderworld, a plane of existence connecting two or more dimensions.) Note that Race X was actually studying Xen at the time. Race X likes to take over world’s and when they heard about Black Mesa through the Resonance Cascade, they saw their opportunity to take over Earth. They are also Master’s of teleportation, they teleport with what is called Auto teleportation (Auto teleportation is basically teleporting to anywhere, at any time, like the vortigaunts can do.) So, they sent their 'warriors' to Black Mesa in order for to plunder it and eventually the entire Earth. There is one problem though, they couldn’t get their Gene Worm (OpFor end boss) to teleport to Black Mesa. So, Race X came to Black Mesa and they installed a manual teleporter to Earth for the Gene Worm. One more problem though. This teleporter needs power to keep it running. The power source are sprites. What are sprites? You may have noticed while playing OpFor, little round ball lights, when you approach them, they 'run' away. So, Race X’s troops arrived at Black Mesa around the time of Surface Tension in Half-Life 1, which in Opposing Force is Chapter 3; We are Pulling Out. Now, Freeman never ran into any of the Race X creatures because they hadn’t established a presence until about Chapter 8; Vicarious Reality. When Race X got to Black Mesa, their mission was to destroy everything. Humans, Xen creatures, that’s why Xen and Race X always in-fought with each other. When the thermonuclear bomb exploded, it destroyed the Gene Worm teleporter, ruining Race X’s chances of getting to Earth and terraforming it. Now, no one really knows why they didn’t come back to Earth afterwards in the future. Maybe they packed their bags and cut their losses and decided to move on to another planet, we do not know.

Edit: Everything here is information by Marc Laidlaw, he was basically responsible for the plotline and the storyline of the Half-Life franchise.

Sadly we don't see many interactions between Race X and Xenians in the game.

And the name Race X is kinda confusing since Xen also started with the same letter.

Same reason why Black Ops are never shown next to soldiers in the original Half-Life despite them having to kill the others.

For the same reason you can't see things like the bullsquid, houndeye, alien grunts, etc. Valve got too obsessed with headcrabs and fans only care about the headcrabs and the gas mask guys anyway.

For the same reason you can't see things like the bullsquid, houndeye, alien grunts, etc. Valve got too obsessed with headcrabs and fans only care about the headcrabs and the gas mask guys anyway.

Or maybe because Valve didn't want to add things not made by them.

The Bulllsquid and Houndeyes were meant to be included but there was no shock trooper nor pit drones ever planned.

PS: Alien Grunts are not needed since the Xenians literally got enslaved by the Combine after the 7HW.

You just don't understand the lore:

This is the same reason why Gordon fights against the occupation forces of the Combine rather than its invasion one (which is implied to be largely more powerful).

Xen's army must've been destroyed by the Combine (especially after the Nihilanth's defeat) so we only have the vortigaunts that are more numerous and that are basically only workers (as seen in Interloper). Grunts are only good for fighting but the Combine sees a better fit for humans native to Earth to be the armed force on the planet instead of aliens, it makes more sense.

The Race X is just an addition from Gearbox to have more freedom of making new aliens instead of adding new Xen fauna. Same with Black Ops being the equivalent of HECU grunts for Shepard.

Makes more sense to whom? You and your made up headcanon? The combine already use alien soldiers and equipment on earth (Striders, Hunters, Headcrabs, etc). Are you paying attention?
