Is Adrian Shephard suppose to hunt down Gordon Freeman?
Adrian Shephard's mission is to silence the witnesses, especially a scientist named Gordon Freeman but Adrian Shephard is a friendly HECU Member. So is he still suppose to kill Gordon Freeman?

Overall, yeah, he is supposed to kill Gordon along with other witnesses.

he didnt get the briefing but after a while he should've picked the pieces together so its more of a player choice
militaries are sent to kill all scientists...but shepard and others are life saved by them...aliens are killing humans..no ? the view of freeman when adrian enter the room for teleportation is "luck" and also for the "movie" style of game with its sequences ... the fact that the gman close the base to lock adrian is also meaning he is not considered as "not freeman friend" by gman ..
Black Misa [ with star wars accent of the Jar Jar Binks ] and its "failed xen" is terrible with all these dead in hev or zombies hev .. plus so much earth things..
i mean that freeman or shepard and very few others persons get lost in xen.. [ that is not Daytona beach the weekend of the race 24hours ;']

Shepard wasn't sent specifically for Gordon.

I even doubt he cared/knew about him.

Good Question: If Adrian Shephard and Gordon Freeman met each other, will they get along?

Gordon has been killing Adrian's Marine friends left and right.

Adrian is with the HECU which has been killing Black Mesa Survivors (even though Adrian didn't get his orders to), so Gordon could confuse Adrian as a bad guy.

They're both heroes for saving the Earth but still.

I don't think Adrian would have complied with an order such as killing American civilians and government contractors. The military has a strict guideline for unlawful orders, and it is the duty of a Marine or Soldier to disobey those orders because of their sworn duty to protect the U.S Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic.

The mission at Black Mesa was an illegal operation, who chose specific Marines for the HECU. Adrian Shephard was already an E-4 Force Recon Marine to be chosen for the operation, as seen in boot camp.

Many of those HECU Marines were obviously mentally unstable no thanks to the Gman's choice of choosing expendable men, meaning a huge bulk of them were not from Force Recon (you have disciplined, mature, and obtain the rank of E-4 or higher for leadership qualities in Force Recon). Adrian however, showed much more promise and intelligence as you know, when surviving the horrors of Black Mesa.

If anything, Adrian would be more pissed off at the government rather than hunting Gordon Freeman for two reasons. One they left him behind and two, they sent Black Operation Crews that were obviously military trained to hunt down active service members that got left behind.
these last days with not much to do at home...virus19..is raging 10.000 new sick/days..in france and that rocket UP... i was thinking about the 11 september another thing that caused "the gi" to do war against aliens... i was thinking lauching a "charity" to get the money to rebuild a wtc tower copy in Zone 51 or Las Vegas .. a copy [without asbestos] to do tests of crashing planes and fire.. i mean : may be a lot of rich american like the gate$ or bezo$ or our favorite shareholder of steam could help to get one or two billions dollars... to test gwbush "truth" :steambored: :steamsalty: with fires and planes ...mostly because no others building did like the wtcs : like controlled demolition and because it was made to be "able to be picked by planes.. and boeing has a lot to destroy these days.. the second cool side of the "experiment" is that the new building will be use for some paintball or VR counter strike battles... later.... that could take less than year to get the money.. so that makes the 20 th "deathday" ...
