I miss standalones
I mean the most recent standalone FPS that exist is FarCry 3 Blood Dragon (and it is meant to be an hommage to the good old days)

While sure it is a bad thing, atleast there's a small community that's dedicated to it.

Opposing Force wasn't a standalone game when it first came out though, it was an expansion pack.

I don't really remember but I managed to play it without too much troubles (I had the "blue box" which contained Half Life OF BS and CS)
