Half-Life: Opposing Force

Half-Life: Opposing Force

Half-Life Opposing Force source question.
So I have watched a few videos on Half-Life Opposing Force and saw that in a few of the playthroughs some of the guns had the same textures as in Half-Life Source. I was wondering how this is possible, and if I am able to play this game using the source engine.

I think these are the HD pack weapons.

Valve cannot do a source version of the expansion because they belong to Gearbox I think.

Anyway hl source isn't that great so it isn't problematic.

It's in development by a russian modder at the moment. It's been around 9 months.

Oh this looks nice! I agree that hl source is kinda like a lazy port by Valve (compared to Black Mesa source) but I kinda like to replay the old GoldSrc games using the Source engine

Yeah. Despite how utterly garbage HL:Source is the visuals are beautiful. And i cannot stop playing no matter what. That's what makes the series spark. The amount of replay-ability in it is surprisingly infinite.

(from what i've seen, i dont own a copy of HL:S) the main issue i've seen with it is the fact water is close to invisable from what i've seen in comparison videos

Partially true. But the water was suppose to be realistic and beautiful. And it indeed is.
I know I'm reviving an 8 year old thread, but Blue Shift: Source actually was made.

Put it in your sourcemods folder. (you need hl:s)

Yes because I'm sure everyone in this topic never knew that.

Also, Blue Shift Source isn't complete yet.
