Hello,

Currently co-op is only in Skirmish mode and you can fight against an AI team or another player team.

Wouldn't that just be considered Online-Multiplayer rather than Co-op, the idea of Co-op is to have a story or cooperation in elements other than skirmish mode, just to save you guys the bother of another person bringing up the same point.

I would disagree. Most Co-Op is considered to be online. Games that are not online Co-Op are considered hot-seat, split-screen or couch Co-Op. Online-Multiplayer is considered online play that you fight other players. Our game has Co-Op "teams" against the AI or other players. You can fight with your friends, which makes it Co-Op. Nothing states that Co-Op has to be story driven. I think the question you are asking is, "Does this game have grand strategy or campaign Co-Op?" In that case, not at this time. Also, keep in mind the game is in Early-Acess and is not feature complete. Thanks for your feedback.

Aye but the steam tag Co-op connotates a co-operative campaign or experience. If you click on it and you look at the games listed, they are of varying co-operative campaigns, side quest,s free roam, hell even C&C Red Alert 3 had the co-op tag, because there was a 2-player campaign. I'm just trying to say that the co-op tag is misleading and might be best if it wasn't advertised as such. Comp Stomps are in many an RTS, but none of them describe themselves as co-op. Anyway, back to the game, it looks lovely actually, I swear I've seen several of these "Kingdom Wars" games around and I remember playing a free one but it wouldn't run on my PC for some reason, is this of the same series?

Coop Skirmish is COOP it's just not campaign coop like the dev kindly tried to explain. This is where the term coop "bot stomps" was coined. It does however imply that their be AI present on the opposing team and not two teams of human players.

In our co-op battles, you can send your ally resources or units, build on their building plots and share control of walls, on top of the basic co-op feature of two players working towards a common goal.

I think that counts as a co-op experience, and this is the first complaint I recall of the co-op tag being misleading.

Also, as Langor mentioned, not all features are in yet, and one that we hope to add is the ability to invite friends to aid in campaign battles.

Yes, that free one is a re-release of one of our earlier fantasy based games, and we have another game out on Steam in the same series too - Kingdom Wars 2: Battles

Medieval Kingdom Wars takes a lot of the best elements of both, with a lot of engine upgrades and other improvements, and shifts to a purely medieval setting.

So if I get this correctly at this time the co-op is just skirmishes where you and your friend can fight against the AI but in the future it will have a campain co-op feature also? This game looks very promising to me and if it has a fully implemented campain co-op in the furture you will have just made me day amd earmed the sale of 2 copies here. :)

There are plans for campaign co-op features. What they will be exactly are not locked down yet. But we have plans to expand co-op in the future. Hope this helps!

co-op campaign = at least 6 sales here. i'm in love with this game and i will spread it across the world! I'm looking forward to seeing it grow.

I look forward to a little more info on the campain co-op features, I have purchased EA games in the past that promised co-op and then dropped the ball. I then ended up with another single player game that I might not have purchased if it had been advertised as only a single player. With that in mind as soon as a bit more of your co-op plans take shape I will be happy to support your efforts with my wallet. Been a lot of EA burns on Steam of late. Thank you for the quick responce to my question a definite plus on your side.
