Passing balls to a robot.

I am stuck on Sector 54 and looked at a walkthrough. In the walkthrough my character and the robot simply pass the balls back and forth to each other from a distance. In my game I am unable to do that. Is there another key I am suppose to press to do this?

Also why are you unable to pass the ball to the robot? Should be the same key as launching the ball into a socket.

IIRC robot's socket is on its back. Turn his back to to Ava and then operate from her side to send/receive balls.

Thanks MASTAN. I was in that area for a very long time and never thought to look at the robots back or even saw it by accident. Especially since the robot faces forward to receive balls from the cube. Not well designed and very frustrating.

I... did not know this, and yet still solved sector 54... welp, better late than never!

Yeah I was very frustrated by that level, finally just happened to notice that I could pass the ball to it because I had moved so I was semi-behind it. Completely by luck that I saw that.
