Is the "shadow modes" worth it?

I'm a bit confused. I bought this awhile ago but haven't gotten around to it. So what is "shadow mode"? is that the 2nd episode or something? kinda confused..

Haven't played the game myself but as far as I understand it's a black&white mode with enhanced textures or something like that.

Doesnt really work that way, they use black/white/red.

Shadows Mode? Well.. the difference is obvious: two separate games. If you already own/downloaded the original release: the ONLY difference is the Shadow Mode. So if you could not care less about black-and-white-with-noir-effects, there's no reason to waste bandwidth.
