"Hey, something is up with this game here. Mind checking it out?"
Some do the reviews for this purpose, but it's overwhelmed by the other reviews just saying this game is a money stealing, broken rip off.
Besides, the positive reviews aren't any good either. They are literally just "Its Batman, therefore good"
And issue here is with user reviews in general. It is insane that soneone could form any kind of opinion after ten or so minutes in game. And since the reviews are so negative right now, chances are that could damage game's sales on PC...
If you are not a developper of the game, why do you bother??? Just enjoy it for yourself and let others spit on it.
That's how capitalism is supposed to work. If TellTale pays no price for an extremely buggy release, then it will continue to release really buggy products.
The game does not work for many, many, many people. When I first tried to load it, it crashed Steam. The second time I got it to load, but only after a prohibitively long loading time. And then it lagged, really badly. And on top of that, there were black lines all over the game making the lagging visuals even worse. And so I deleted and redownloaded it. All the problems were still there, and I tried playing through the first scene. The lag was so bad that I failed multiple timed button pushes.
I haven't written a review of the game. But I could, and it would be negative. I don't begrudge anyone who has. This isn't the normal complaining about TellTale games (that they are episodic or the choices don't matter). These are game braking bugs, ones that should have been noticed and fixed long before the game was released.
I'm a big fan of TellTale. I've played Tales of Monkey Island, Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, The Walking Dead seasons 1&2 plus Michonne, Game of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us, and Puzzle Agent 1&2. They've never had a release this buggy, and they need to fix it immediately.
I only encountered one bug which could be worked around really easily and only resulted in a time loss of 5 minutes (the codex one).
And since Game of Thrones/TFTB, all Telltale releases on PC have been gripe with technicals issues (the dumbest one being the lack of support for Xbox One controllers, and the devs basically telling us to go ♥♥♥♥ ourselves because we don't own an older Xbox 360 controllers), so, yeah, can't say they hadn't it coming...
