Another review bombing/dev harassment campaign in progress :(
High time for Valve to do something about their dumb user review system... What time it is that something like this happens? You would be thinking that publishers would be pressuring them into doing something about it.

Trolls arent even trying this time around, like they could form any kind opinion after so short a time. Most of user reviews are super short too. Valve, do something...

I dunno if there is, but there should be a button to tell both Steam and the developers of this game...

"Hey, something is up with this game here. Mind checking it out?"

Some do the reviews for this purpose, but it's overwhelmed by the other reviews just saying this game is a money stealing, broken rip off.
I think everything is fine here. If there are huge technological issues people should know

I'm kinda lost, what happenned here? i literally just went to the game's store page and it had massive downvotes.

The problem is that only 5% of people are able to run it,and I'm being really generous here.

Besides, the positive reviews aren't any good either. They are literally just "Its Batman, therefore good"

Steam's user review system being crap and open to abuse, and gaming community being at its worst these days. That's what happenned.

From what I saw, bunch of people are playing the game just fine.

And issue here is with user reviews in general. It is insane that soneone could form any kind of opinion after ten or so minutes in game. And since the reviews are so negative right now, chances are that could damage game's sales on PC...

Yeah,a few people, like I said. The rest either can't get it to run at all and others have horrible framerates on high end PCs.

It's not crap. If a game gets burned, there is a high probability that it deserves it. The steam user review is very helpful regarding every "game in progress" and other "cataclysmic releases" hidden to reviewers before release. It's better for every gamer.
If you are not a developper of the game, why do you bother??? Just enjoy it for yourself and let others spit on it. :steamhappy:

So if a game is absolutely broken on release people shouldn't warn others in the review section? Are you trying to make a point or something here, cuz it's seriously lacking argument?

That's how capitalism is supposed to work. If TellTale pays no price for an extremely buggy release, then it will continue to release really buggy products.

The game does not work for many, many, many people. When I first tried to load it, it crashed Steam. The second time I got it to load, but only after a prohibitively long loading time. And then it lagged, really badly. And on top of that, there were black lines all over the game making the lagging visuals even worse. And so I deleted and redownloaded it. All the problems were still there, and I tried playing through the first scene. The lag was so bad that I failed multiple timed button pushes.

I haven't written a review of the game. But I could, and it would be negative. I don't begrudge anyone who has. This isn't the normal complaining about TellTale games (that they are episodic or the choices don't matter). These are game braking bugs, ones that should have been noticed and fixed long before the game was released.

I'm a big fan of TellTale. I've played Tales of Monkey Island, Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, The Walking Dead seasons 1&2 plus Michonne, Game of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us, and Puzzle Agent 1&2. They've never had a release this buggy, and they need to fix it immediately.

My PC really isn't the best has a like 4 years on it's back already and I could run the game completely fine. Episode one was my favorite out of all the telltale games up to this moment too.
I only encountered one bug which could be worked around really easily and only resulted in a time loss of 5 minutes (the codex one).

Most of the reviews I read were not about the game itself, but about the technical issues. I feel hard-pressed to see any form of trolling or public outlash in this, though; when you buy a game, there's nothing more frustrating than trying to play it, only to realise that you will have to wait a little longer for it to feel fully-baked.

And since Game of Thrones/TFTB, all Telltale releases on PC have been gripe with technicals issues (the dumbest one being the lack of support for Xbox One controllers, and the devs basically telling us to go ♥♥♥♥ ourselves because we don't own an older Xbox 360 controllers), so, yeah, can't say they hadn't it coming...

Had no issues running this. Great first episode.
