Yeah it varies a lot from PC to PC, nothing new there. I do believe Telltale are not as vigilant/caring as they can and should be, though. This kind of thing happened a lot with their releases

Have to agree with every word, and I love Telltale Batman, it's truly great. No idea why they keep bungling controller support on PC, their games run perfect on everything from a C64 to Skynet
A refund while very clearly stating your reason would probably be best in that case - though you'd be missing out on the game, of course.
The main reason I play these games with my controller is that the UI is just better/prettier. :D

Disable the Steam Input API and the controller will work perfectly fine (it can only be disabled per game, on properties).
