Why did so many people?... (SPOILERS)
Choose to save Selina over Harvey? I'm curious. Guess I was in the minority. I was thinking more about the campaign and I thought that Selina could handle herself better than Harvey. Heard that Harvey is meant to become Two face but the Wayne Family were never criminals. That was a Telltale twist, so maybe Harvey never becomes Two face, depending on your decisions.

I saved Harvey over Selena because I figured Selena could recover and handle things on her own.

Suffice it to say, I don't think I'm one of her favorite people anymore. At least I didn't try to kiss her this would be ridiculously awkward...

Harvey is not a friend of Batman but a friend of Bruce Wayne and Catwoman help Batman so, the choice is not very hard ? Anyway, Harvey Dent is not a 100% good guy. Live with the consequences of your choices ! :steamsad:

I saved Selina because I prefer Catwoman to Harvey & Two Face. I'd much rather have Selena/Catwoman friendly towards me and have Two Face in my playthrough than potentially not have Two Face but instead Selena is less friendly towards me.

Plus, I just like Catwoman in general.

To tell you the truth when I was presented with this choice I expected that the one I didn't choose would die. Yes, in real life Selina could have handled herself better than Harvey in a fight, but I was thinking about the situation like a videogame, not real life.

So I saved Selina (as I found her the more interesting character), expecting Harvery to die, and was suprised when he turned into Two-Face.

To tell you the truth I think Harvey turning into Two-face is more interesting anyway.

I can only speak for me, but I have to admit it was totally metagaming. Dent becomes Two-Face, and it was painfully obvious that one way or the other, it was going down at the debate. On the other hand, with the revelations about Thomas Wayne and Falcone dead, they're pretty off the canon rails at this point, so maybe I was wrong.

Besides, not to put too fine a point on it, this is Telltale. Much as I love their games, let's face it, the choices they offer typically aren't all THAT earth-shattering. I figure he would have gotten just as scarred if I opted to save him.

The weird thing is that if you save Harvey he actually doesn't get scarred. Which either means that episode 3 is gonna be quite different depending on who you saved, or that telltale is gonna do some weird twists to get out of this choice mess.

Huh. That is weird, this one might warrant a second playthrough for more than just seeing the story again. Of course, there's always the third option, where Harvey gets put on a bus for the rest of the "season," rather than still being a major character. They've done something similar in previous games. If he leaves town for a bit or something in Chapter 3, they can show his scarred face, have a few different dialogue options, but leave the overarching story more-or-less intact.

I thought Selina would probably be able to handle herself, while Harvey would most likely not. Shes catwoman after all, hes just a regular politician guy at that point.

I loved this choice, as hard as it was. If you want to think like Batman, he'd probably figure that Catwoman would be able to handle the thugs, while Harvey is no fighter, thus his safety should be ensured first. And if you check out what happens when you take this choice, he'd actually be right.
But here's the catch: sometimes, very rarely, even Batman himself does not think like Batman. He's only human, and Catwoman has the ability to affect him like few others. Thus, it would also be completely in-character to go save her first, even if he'd be haunted by guilt over failing his friend afterwards. (I vaguely remember something along these lines happening in one comic incarnation or the other?)

For me it was simply because Harvey Dent becomes Two Face, that's something I want to see.

lol I chose to kiss her but still chose harvey over her. But judging from my trailer, something happens between Bruce and Vikki anyway. Perhaps has something to do with me giving her the data instead of Gordon?

Vicki betrays Bruce. She is a member of the Children of Arkham

Think of it from this perspective. Telltale is forcing your into a decision that Batman in the comics "probably" would have been able to deal with without having to make a legit choice. So you have Harvey who's going to get beaten to death vs Selina who has 3 goons with guns coming up. I have to emphasize the GUNS part as that is the most critical part of this.

Putting aside any personal feelings for either Harvey or Selina, one dude with a big light vs 3 guys with guns is a pretty easy choice to make. The guys with guns could shoot and kill selina, shoot you in the back, shoot harvey in the head from across the stage, shoot several other cops off the stage, etc. Oz might still have a gun on him, but in the heat of that particular moment, his threat level to everyone else BUT Harvey is low, where as the guys with guns could still kill a lot of people in that room.

There was probably personal feelings mixed in there as well, because I do like Selina, but I also really like Harvey. And to be perfectly frank, since Harvey usually becomes two face via chemical burns, I somehow didn't expect the burn to come from the stage light at all, so that never factored into my decision making in the least.

There are also some people that like to stick to the canon stories of these characters. Harvey was as good a man as could possibly be running for a political seat in Gothom and the best chance to change things for the better in that city, only to be horribly scarred and changed. This not only is a tragic tale of a good man turned bad, but it's also an emotional weight on Bruce because Harvey and him really were friends. As much as he was a politician, and at times it defintely showed, he was still Bruces friend.

All and all though, I have a feeling this will follow usual Telltale rules. Harvey becomes Two Face one way or another, regardless of if we saved him or not. Selina has an agenda she's keeping from us regardless of if we show her we care or not. Telltale writes a story, and the choices they give to you give you this false idea that it's going to change something, but by the time the story is wrapped up, none of them really changed anything. It's for the most part a roller coaster ride of a story, which I'm fine with, I just wish they'd quite trying to tell people the choices matter when they very clearly don't.

i knew he would become 2 face and i let it happen to see how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ things could get and because i thought catwoman will die

I saved Selina. Partly because she looked in the most trouble but partly because, like many others, I think I'm hardwired to save/protect/believe females more. Thats probably sexist of me but it's always the choice I take in games. Sorry!
The wife on the other hand saved Harvey so I'm looking forward to swapping notes with a few beers after we've both done episode 3.
