Necessary to create Telltale account

Hi friends, I was just wondering that is it necessary to create a Telltale account to play this game? If I play it without creating the account will my saves be carried over to the 2nd Season of the game, Batman:The Enemy Within, for the choices i made back in season 1 or not? Or is Season 2 a standalone game with no link with the original game's choices you made? Thanks in advance :)

I'm guessing it's gonna be just like The Walking Dead Season 2: Just make sure you have Season 1 installed with the saves present and you'll be able to just import them from there, without any additional account.
