Hey, i played the first episode and a few days later i wanted to play the 2nd but the game told me their are no saved files but im sure i saved them with the cloud. I dont want to replay the first episode and dont want to play it with other decisions. Is this a kwon bug? I prob. know the answer but want to get sure first.

As it turns out, I was fortunate enough to have a gamesavemanager backup. I restored the backup but evidently the first thing that happens if you're foolish enough to have cloud saves enabled is it wipes them before you get to the menu screen.

I was able to get it to work by disabling cloud saves in the options, making a copy of C:\Users\user\Documents\Telltale Games\Batman The Telltale Series\prefs.prop then restoring the saves from the backup, then replacing the prefs.prop file and finally launching the game. Hopefully this will help someone else.

same with me

ninjafoodstuff is right

If your lucky and you have a previous version of c:\<username>\Documents\telltale games\ folder (I keep volume shadow copies). You can check by right clicking on the batman folder and going to properties - previous versions

I launched batman, disabled the cloud saves then exited the game. Then I copied back that previous version of the folder but did not overwrite the prefs.prop folder. I launched Batman and voila, my progress continued.

These fixes are entirely too much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to go through after I put 3 chapters of time into the game yesterday. Refund time.

Hi there. Just had this happen to me, and it was really disheartening for a moment as it would be really annoying to have to play through it all and try to make the same choices. Thankfully, the post on this reddit page helped me solve the problem. https://www.reddit.com/r/telltale/comments/53r5dg/batman_lost_my_save_game/. For some reason, usually on an update or change to the game, the program creates a new file without your saves and searches there when launching the game. All I had to do was the following:

Check your documents folder on your computer and find the Telltale folder where the game saves should be kept under "Batman" or "Batman- the telltale series". I would make copies of both to your desktop before trying anything, just to be safe. Figure out which folder contains your original saves, then copy all the files from there (folders were unnecessary) and paste it into the newer Batman folder that the game created.

Worked for me; I hope it works for you.

It takes literally less than two minutes.

Took me 20 seconds to request refund, was a better use of my time.
