Help with Chicken Farm

Hi guys

So I recently started playing this game - I started with something I know, chickens.

I set up 8 Small Chicken Coops, 1 5/5 worker each. I have a silo with 6 different food for them. I started off by only selling their eggs, but the profits were going REALLY slow..

I then built a Slaughter House to sell their meat aswell (I set all the coops to automatically call inseminator, and set the slaughter house to take above 15 from each coop). I also built a cooler warehouse.

I have 2 problems now, my profits are still going REALLY slow, am I thinking too small or what is the problem here? (Both eggs and meat is on auto trade)

Also, sometimes some of my coops get empty, why does this happen? They should only take chicken out of coops that has above 15 chickens? But even with that and the auto inseminator they still sometimes end up empty?

Am I doing something wrong or am I on the right path?

I want to start producing my own chicken feed, but not if the whole thing is gonna end up being so unprofitable?

yes i now the problem i had the sam problem with chiken bud also with cows its a bug in the game
