Apiary or Bee Keeper Questions

So the Apiary supports up to 10 hives with one employee. Very cost effective.
I noticed the training programs that reduce the cost by up to 30% affects the hives as well...

I know from a friend who keeps bees that they will fly as far as 1 mile (1.8km) in search of food.
So what is the range for the bees in this game?
Is it listed?
If not then it would be a great help if they included a zone of effect like on the water pump. Maybe something in the graphics options? On that note, give us an option to turn on the grid so we know if buildings will fit!

When making "multi-flower honey" are those flowers abstract? Of can we increase productivity by placing the decorative flower pots in the build menu?
On the cozal and buckwheat honeys, what size plot is needed for each Apiary? I tried a 10m x 10m plot of both and it didn't appear to have any difference than when I used a 10m x 30m plot.
The only advantage of the bigger plot was the harvest, but it has a HUGE return on investment for the equipment. This is especially important because that equipment has an upkeep cost during the winter when it's sitting idle.
(An option which has probably been suggested but still a good thought, IRL there are co-ops that lease their equipment doing the harvesting. There are companies that do nothing but harvest other people's fields. National Geographics did an article on this very topic. There should be an option to allow these "Co-ops" to harvest your fields rather than buying your own combines! Have them work for a flat fee and/or a percentage of the field's yield! Then the players will have to determine if this is viable. Maybe have it as a triggered option once your fields get to a minimum size, as it has to be worth the Co-op's time)...

Things I've found playing:

Multiple Apiarys can share the same 10 x 10 field.
When you harvest the field, all production of that variant stops.
Decorative flowers have no affect, other than aesthetics.
