When you use the combine to harvest, I believe you have to use the corn-reaper, otherwise you only end up harvesting the crops.. Same thing when harvesting corn.
If you auto-fill the equipment, it tends to set you up with the cereal-reaper and you end up with a bunch of useless crops.

Lupine can be chopped, you should use standard reaper and combine harvester

So a harvester is not enough? What's the point of the harvester and what are "crops"?

There are two kind of machines, combine harvester and chopper. Both gives different results

Can you explain to me what generic "crops" are and what's the basis for decision to have different grains become "crops" (and somehow into one) when harvested as such?

Rafal are what you are refering to as crops in reality Chaff?

Standard harvester with reaper gives full quality cerealsor corns. Chopper on the other hand will chop whole plant to pices which can be served directly as a food for animals or processed into silage.

yeah and my point is, as a non farm knowledgable person if the stuff made by the Chopper that you currently in game refer to as crops is in reality chaff.
For me crops is more of a combined word for all the different plants (wheat, rye, lupine e.t.c.) which you currently uses foliage for.

I wonder and again do not really have the needed knowledge about the farming terms to say if it should be so or not, that a few of your chosen words are not really correctly translated.
Current in game -> correct?
Crops -> Chaff
Foliage -> Crops

But as I said I am not familiar with the terminology used by farmers nor a native english speaker but the indicated changes seems to fit better with the definitions I find than the current use.

In this game.. You need a combine Harvester.. And and front attachment to harvest. The attachment can be a reaper (gives you the individual grains) or a chopper (cuts up the grains, the stems and leaves, etc.). So if you harvest corn with a reaper.. You get corn. If you harvest corn (or wheat or any other grain) with a chopper, you get generic crops.
