Low Amount of Food in Animals building

I have a Medium Cow shed with 5 cows and two assigned workers. I have a Silo immediately next to it with Grass, as well a Silage Storage next to the Cow shed. The problem is, my cows are not being fed. The workers ONLY milk the cows but do not feed them. They are not getting stuck on a path anywhere. Other workers from other Sheds and chicken coops are going to the silo and Silage storage to get food. What could the problem be? I've made sure that there is a path from the Medium cow shed on both sides of the shed. Any suggestions and/or help is greatly appreciated.

So I should have a barn next to the cow shed? I have a barn two buildings over, but maybe it's not close enough to the cow shed. I will build one next to the cow shed and see if that will make a difference. Thank you.

if u have a silo with grain, the worker should get some of that source too, even if the silage barn is too far away, u should look at the menu for the cowshed if there is any food available, if all sliders are at zero on automatic than u have no food in range, or maybe u have a bug, where the workers are only doing one task and never do another one, in this case u can try to reassign the workers and see if that helps...

I have only played this game once so far, but a worker needs to be assigned to the silage storage before any silage is produced, I think. Do you have a worker assigned to the Silage bunker?

I have the same thing, stocked 30k grass. Barn is next to the animals..

That happened to me too and what I did was fired the guy and for some reason he regained his strenght and I hired him back and it worked

NVM, It's because I'm an idiot. Only cows eat grass, so it's the wrong food type

Had a similar issue happened in the campaign, I finally had to destroy the cowshed and rebuilt it to fix the problem. Reloading the save game didn't fix it for me.

In the food resource panel of the cowshed make sure you input percentages of the food you want to feed them

I ran into the same issue. Not sure how to cause it. I had 5 cow sheds and plenty of food. 4 of them were fine while the 5th one kept having cows starve to death.
