Dates on crops make little sense
I understand expiration dates, and fruit ripening and so forth. However, I feel like this is poorly done in game. For example, it will often put a date in red under a crop in storage, but then doesn't really explain what that means, or why the date is important, or the length of time that crop would stay prime.

I feel like instead of the present system (which i have no idea what it means) there should be one in place based on expiration dates. For example, if a crop lasts for 30 days, or 90 days, it should say that instead of a different date.

This would allow you to plan on how long you wish to store vs selling at the present market value. You would be better able to plan your economy. It would also make more sense.

Either that or change the system to put the date of when it would expire and make me do the math. At the moment it just seems that the date that is present on the crop is the date that it was harvested, and then randomly turns red.

This is exactly what it is, some future date, so clearly it isn't the harvest date, and it turns red when there's less than 2 weeks before expiration. When something goes from White to Red, this is a Universal signal for WARNING.

My milk and eggs, fruits and veggies, have a date, but I have no idea what it means! It just doesn't make any sense!

The only time it'll be a past date, is if went to a production facility, the date passed, then it went back to regular warehouse.

I guess there's a limit on what one should expect to be common knowledge.... someone else demanding to be told how many days till Spring, because they clearly don't know when Spring starts... which is on every calander ever that has March on it. -.-
