Right now this game has 90% discount and I'm thinking of buying it. Is there any single player available? Will the game work offline after logging in for the first time using xbox live account? Assuming that I play single player

No... However, if you've bought it, you are fully entitled to find "work-arounds" to facilitate offline play -- and they do exist.

Did anyone figure out how to play this legitimately purchased game on Steam? It seems broken. I tried logging in with my actual xbox account, which I have gamepass subscribed and everything, and this game still complains about needing an xbox live account. ♥♥♥♥ is broken.

Yes you can play State of Decay 2 offline if you want.

My internet provider either was doing some maintenance or something was faulty once when I wanted to play State of Decy 2.

So I started Steam in offline mode and then fired up SOD2 and it was no problem playing the game with no internet. You obviously can't play coop with friends but everything else works just fine.

SoD2 runs offline with a valid Xbox account. Multi-player and achievements are disabled as shown by the offline advisory screen.

When you start the game for the first time login with a valid Microsoft/Xbox account. After that you can play this game singleplayer and offline as mush as you want. You can't play coop with friends if you are playing offline.

Thanks. Will try it offline. If it doesn't work, I always have the option to refund the game

It’s ironic that a year or more ago I played this i *didn't* need ANY account/sign in for single player. That’s the truth. I have no Xbox account, why on earth would i, i play a PC not a frigging, monopolised console! Keep that for eggbox owners…

Had the same issue.. here is what i did.. Log into your xbox app account in windows, and got to settings and link your steam account to your xbox app account. After you do that, log out of your xbox app and close it.. Load up the game. When it asks you to log in, put the same email you used for your xbox app account, then when it asks for the password, click 'email me a code" you should get a email with the code right away, put that code in as your password and your in.. You wont have to log in ever again for the game.

You probably signed in with your Microsoft account, then. There have never been a way to play this game without first signing into an Xbox/MS account.

How can i play this game i bought this, but my windows account doesnt accept this game and a cant do new account because game thinks it doing robot. Do i download hack or WHAT, or this game its steam download-delete-again simulator?
