The author is currently recovering from gall bladder removal surgery, and the mod stopped working after the newest patch.
The community editor allows you to switch between male and female, select a character model, voice, skills, traits, quirks, everything.
My suggestion is get to providence ridge starter base, do those missions until you get to the next base. From there thats pretty much the end of the tutorial missions. You youll have done everything they should you.
From there yiu can just start a new community and roll random characters
oh and the game doesnt save until you leave the camp and enter the providence ridge map
Sorry, but some of us do get attached to the characters. For us it is always that kind of game. We cannot help it.
start a new game
pick 3 people by their traits
start the game... at the very very beginning even you go for starting base you can see their hero bonus! if you like it send to legacy pool and than call from your main community.
I agree a simple character creator or editor would be ideal, even if it was just for cosmetic features like face, voice and name. I can understand they don't want you to cheese so I'd be happy for traits and skills to be random. I just want to look cool when I'm running around surviving.
I have my entire team full of red talon minus the idiotic debuff. I have 2 toons that look pretty and have good stats, like a guy that looks like James from Silent Hill 2 with Immortal trait and a cute female. And then I gave them Red Talon skilltrees too, tho there are a few fighting skilltrees that are better, like edge weapons or the close combat I think where you can unarmmed 1 shot anyone
While the game is designed around permadeath and autosave so you run the risk of losing characters, I very rarely lose characters these days. It is very avoidable even on Lethal, once you learn that you are not supposed to stand and fight to kill all zombies attacking you, to the death. If it looks like you might get overwhelmed or have to use lots of resources to kill Juggernauts and Ferals, you should instead just get out of there in your car.
Live to fight another day!
Learning when to run is the most important skill in the game.
A Hygienist Blood Plague survivor... if that's not asking for too much.
