Please Help! Error code 3 RESOLVED

I wanted to play crossplay with my girlfriend tonight via Xbox series x and PC windows 10.
So ive bought a copy of SOD2 on both the series x and my steam account. Now, both accounts are added and linked, For some reason I keep getting error code 3 when I do accept her xbox invite via game bar NONETHELESS It says creating session ENDLESSLY for me meaning i cant invite to host or anything , Im not certain why the icon wont just either say failed or success but regardless heres a grand list of things ive tried to resolve this issue.

1.Sync'd timezones to auto on both of our pc's (xbox series x is already setup)
2.Set my ipv4 and ipv6 protocol on all devices to DNS 8.8.8.8. AND 8.8.4.4.
3.Router has been reset twice already
4.Performed protocol resets on the internet and sync'd then reset after it didnt work
5.Adjusted my PC gaming performance using PC app Low specs experience (despite wasnt needed)
6.Installed the game bar AND xbox app to attempt different ways of accepting the invitation.
7.Tried joining on my other PC using both steam accounts with shared family status separately.
8. ensured game file validity on steam and that copies were infact registering as seperate,
9.Attempted to launch through the xbox app by reinstalling seperate version then steams and linking that xbox variant,
10.disabled and launched then reenabled and launched all firewalls before and after pc reset
11.enabled steam AND state of decay firewall allowance on both variants of steam and xbox PC app versions of the game.
12.disabled proxys then reset pc
13.repaired any possible repair requirements under the microsoft store
14. confirmed BOTH accounts were active on xbox with ultimate membership covered and no banspecifications
15. confirmed no adult/child restrictions were active on either adult accounts
16.updated the game through microsoft store
-17. added friends between both players throughout steam and xbox,
18.tried disabling steam link and multiplayer from within the game loaded in instead of the menu then relaunched,
19.tried myself on xbox instead and her on steam inviting and still nothing
20. did the whole right click CMD properties ipconfig netsh yadda yadda yadda, and. im on windows 10. I have been up all night working on this and have reached out to local friends with IT experience, i cant for the life of me figure out why I keep loading into her game for a split nano second,
she WILL see my blue indicator on the radar and then blip im disconnected and again ill mention when in game and multiplayer IS active it just endlessly spins the dial at the bottom right corner saying creating session
. Anything is helpful at this point.
I do have some mods installed and am willing to share that list on this post if asked tho I've read up it shouldn't really make a substantial difference and no I do not have the tether mod installed, heard bad things.

try one of you wired into the router? wifi is half duplex

there are mods that break MP. The stupidest one i have seen do that is "Improved headlights" why does kit break multiplayer? Who the hell knows, but can confirm it does from various other mod authors.

For further teouble shooting see if seperately both of you can play MPwith randoms. not at the same time

I actually had the headlights mod installed on both tbh, i have just uninstalled all my mods for both steam acc's and am reinstalling the game and going to verify the files before trying again., Also the router is too far downstairs so we cant move it close enough for the 15 foot router to reach, I considered using the ethernet cord to connect my pc to the xbox figuring i could establish a more private connection between them within the wifi network but it turns out thats not possible so ill have to try the first method here and see how it goes. I also wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you even taking the time to reply, means an immense amount to me. Thank you!


RESOLVED UPDATE: Clearing the mods worked, now to just go through them and see which ones do allow me server access.

awesome, really wish nexus would flag mods that are cauing problems as causing problems! some of them have been cauing issues like that for years!
