Anyone found fix for this?

hmmmm have you tried deleting the save folder? It could be that the old GPU data is still in there. Steam cloud will resync the saves.

You can find the save folder by typing in the windows task bar

%localappdata%

then press enter

in the window that pops up, look for the folder named stateofdecay2. Cut and paste it to your desktop.

also, did you clean install the drivers? Nothing fancy, when you install the latest just click "clean install".

i try the aave folder deletion first though

yeh, i tried reinstalling windows even, removing the save file, newest drivers legit nothing works i still crash nothing works
maybe the dlss ?? from nvidia app if you have one try disabling it

Game doesn't have dlss, and can't access the dlss setting in Nvidia app it's locked cause of that, but I've tried without having app installed didn't help either
Womp womp. Contact Nvidia and ask them why every new gpu is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on release with incompability issues

1. remove your new GPU card
2. insert your old GPU card

Brand new GPUs commonly = problems. Probably just need to cross your fingers that a driver update addresses this eventually, but it's not uncommon for old games to be abandoned and never fixed by drivers. GPUs don't tend to reach uniform driver stability for a year after release.

Hmmmm, it occurs to me this game is old as hell. Maybe the directx 11 runtimes need to be installed?

In the game folder theres a folder called something like distributables? In there theres a runtime installer. Steam is supposed to reinstall it when it verifys the game, and its not installed. Maybe thats not happening?
