unable to talk to quest npc

has happened on 2 quests now, one wanted me to find a bayonet, found it and then couldn't talk to the npc to give it to her

second time, the distillers want me to find 25 parts, went to location marked, found parts, can't talk to npc to hand them over

is there a fix for this?

Just leave the area and come back after a few min and it should kick off with the convo.
Sometimes a zeb maybe to close so leaving the area will reset it and the zeb moves along.

An even quicker fix is to enter the car and then exit it again.

happen to me once before but it's most likely there's zombie nearby it disabled npc dialogue option. Just get rid of the nearby zombies (even if npc didn't react to fight back).

crouching helps sometimes as chances are they are seeing danger so wont allow interaction
