why can't i send a surviver to legacy pool?

do i have to finish the story first? or is there another reason? i maxed the character stats and wanted to trade her for another in the pool, she herself was never in the pool so im unsure of why i cant send her

To send desired survivor into legacy pool, you need to go into survivor menu via default hotkey N then select the survivor you want to send to legacy pool by holding down the default hotkey = then confirm.

You need to be controlling another survivor while doing this (cannot be on the one you are sending to legacy pool), then you need to engage in a dialogue with the survivor marked for legacy pool departure (orange triangle above their head in survivor menu and marked on your mini map), select the option to send to legacy pool and holding down key to confirm again.

Best fully level up your survivor + fully loaded with weapon, rucksack and any resources you want to load him/her up then send to pool.

Are you using the same survivor to try it with or a different one, it must be a different one to do it with both to set it up and send on her way.

as the above said, you likely have to not be the survivor when doing so, I literally got a new survivor, I think it was my 6th one when it told me how to send to legacy pool, I had to go to the community menu, select them and hold the button to send to Legacy Pool, this will then trigger another sequence where you have to physically walk up to the survivor and confirm that you want to send them to the Legacy Pool, so there are safeguards and confirmations to prevent immediately losing a survivor considering it costs influence points to take survivors from the Legacy Pool

Hi all, I can't get the key to work. I am on another survivor, but the key wont trigger (no holding down circle turning), for me its marked as ] key. I can't edit the key either under control options. As an example the X key works just fine to exile survivor though. How do you get your key option to work?

it shoud be the same key as when you exile soemone, its the same procedure for both actions.

my exile key is X and just tried, sadly doesnt give option to move to legacy pool, only exile.

I sadly cant mark them at all, the keybinding is ] for me, and I cant edit it in the options. The ] is the number 9 key on keyboards, but where you have to hold down ctrl + alt to then press 9 to make ] appear. Why i want to edit it in the keybindings but the devs havent added an option to do this for marking legacy pool survivors.´

I found out though that with the forever communities, I can leave the map and then transfer characters to the legacy pool that way. But I am wondering if i lose influence and bounty stats for doing this.

EDIT: So i pressed reset to default on keybindings under options and it resetted it to.. 0. It now works, thanks for the replies guys. I'm guessing this happened due to my saves being back when the game came out in 2018.

Glad you find a workaround. And no you don't lose influence and bounty stats if you send 3 survivors to legacy pool upon completing a campaign (map), everything retained (forever community) if you choose to move to next map with remaining survivors.

My send to legacy option is says (unbound) and the button is xed out like it doesn't let me I already beat the run once

For whatever reason my game unbinds random keys all the time.Just bind it in settings again.
