Anyone encounter melee weapon clipping through zombies bug?
Lately when I get into it and are fighting off a horde or two at the most desperate of times my character either swings their weapon but then it clips through the zombie which results in getting grabbed and isntant blood plague. Has anyone been encountering this pretty frequently? It's been turning me off from opening the game especially since when you first open the game and go out you get massive zombie amounts

P.S. Has anyone noticed where your character either stops attacking all together when drained out of stamina, I though the result was only VERY slow attacks but not not attacking at all for a couple of seconds.

Are you updated to version 26? That sounds an aweful lot like the update 25 bug.

update 25 they implemented an unfinished upgrade to melee by accident when they hotfixed another bug. Update 26 finished the melee improvement

I'm on 26 and don't see a fix in 26.1 Edit: youre thinking about the heavy weapons weapon queing but I'm talking about any normal weapon that'll clip through zombies at times usually when there is ALOT of zombies- my guess is because of alot of inputs from running dodging finishers and melee hits

Ah different from the 25 bug then. 25 the heavy weapons had it the worst but all the melee was bad if the character wasnt specialised.

Anywho though, yes I have definetly had the game not hit zombies right in front of my character. Mostly when using a bladed weapon and theres something else within the swing arc. Like furniture objects or even a bunch of dead zombies all around. So if like 4 or 5 pile up i move away a few steps.

Remember bladed weapons can only hit one zombie at a time, while blunt ones can hit multiple in the same swing.

it's a feature. it's because plague zeds are faster, and there are a lot of them. Used to be, each dummy zed would stand and just wait its turn to be hit if the character was in an animation. Now, zeds can interrupt animations and killing blows. It just means that one got initiative on you, regardless of how it looks in the animations. This way makes you have to run and strategize a little better. Or play on a lower difficulty.

I really don't think so because they just stand there while it clips through them, its a raw hit but they are just standing there, not in animation

maybe an programmers answer to the demmand of even more stupid imba enemys? phase blood zombies?
havnt encountered that problem in 26, havnt tested 26.1 till now (when i do i hope the patch 26 NPC TP Bug is fixed, or the game wanders to hibernation again until that is fixed)

Melee weapons clip through zombies when there is an object between you and the zombie. Like if you are in a doorway, the melee targeting system is completely messed up for you but not the zombies.

This has always been the case and is clearly a physics engine problem.

I therefore opt to fight in more open terrain and usually sprint-dodge in and out of all rooms in the house before running outside and waiting for them to get out or get in my car to smash them with it.

Edit: if this is not what you're talking about I haven't seen it. In that case, it is probably yet another "omen" that your game is in the process of glitching out, possibly in much more serious ways than just some zombie ghosting. My advice is to reboot the game if this happens.
