bartending
is this the most rarest of rare quirk skills or what?

I literally rerolled about 2000+ survivors trying to get this damn skill. I can't wait until the community editor gets updated so I can just slot it in someone.

The booze hounds special community usually has this so you could just recruit one of them when they show up.

Restarted the map 10 times and no booze related enclave showed up. RNG has not been on my side today. Thanks though.

I assume this is for farming influence? Probably squelones?

You're doing it wrong -- just move into Whitney Field and farm influence there by ringing the dinner bell.

what's wrong with your method is that this restricts you to one map. if I wanted to play a different map, I cannot apply this method.

that's why I like to build a still, as I can make one anywhere I go. it might be less efficient, but it works.

Best I can tell, finding the boozehounds are the only way to recruit a bartender, and even they don't always have that skill. When I've tried to recruit them, I've usually stayed in the same map and cancelled the special enclave mission if it's not the right group.

Another option for influence farming is to have a pharmacist. If you have a pill press, making strong pain killers gives you about the same gains as making alcohol with a bartender. You just need meds + food for the ethanol instead of food only.

Ive seen several at times in random enclaves but not recently. I used to use the same method for income. That coupled with the specialty skill "cant recall" that makes everyone work way faster its crazy. Now i just build a trade post, put all my outpost as meds and build bulk plague cure. Of course thats tough at the start . In the meantime if you play ummm crap the map im on lol with the Brewery that has two built in stills you can produce mad booze until the booze houndsshow up, oh Meagher Valley. Its almost overkill thats how i started this community and even after i switched to the strip mall long ago then switched to meds production. I still have like 500 booze i just havent needed to sell. Onceyou get your bartender then you can movearound.

Edit... Bartending coupled with Scrum... It made so much i ended up sending scrum to the pool after awhile.
Also, i wish theyd show up more, im almost certain the rare skill trader has bartending sometimes. I literally havent seen a rareskills trader in a year?

All Bartending does is to add an extra beer when you produce a batch. You can build a Still with Chemistry as a 5th skill in the community, and upgrade it with a Trader leader.
The Blood Donors Enclaves are a weed that has taken over every map. I don't get any special enclaves anymore besides the stupid blood donors
