Xbox Account + Steam Help...

So basically i played this on xbox and got all the achievements, i recently switched to PC and re purchased to replay the game however i have been told that if i use my xbox account it will auto unlock all the achievements and i dont want that to happen..

Do xbox games ask you to log into an account each time or can i log into a dummy account to play this game? I have other games i dont mind using my main account for, but for games i already have achievements on can i not just use a different account?

You can use a different or create a new one so that the achievements don't transfer

You can use a dummy Xbox/Microsoft to play the game. Game doesn't ask you to log in each time, at least for me the game remembers my account every time I start up the game and I can just start playing.

Yea but what about future games? I dont want to tie a dummy account to my steam profile, if there is a game i want to play that i havent already played then i will use my actual Xbox Account. Im just talking about games i have already played but want to re get the achievements on

The Account would only be linked to SOD2 only unless you log into other ms games with that

How sure are you about this? Im thinking of getting a refund on it because i didnt pay to auto pop the achievements.

You can use different accounts for different games. I use one account for State of Decay 2 and Halo Master Chief Collection. And then I use another account for Age of Empires 2.

You can also sign out the Xbox/Microsoft account you use in State of Decay 2 and then sign in with a different account in State of Decay 2 if you want that.

Just because you start to use one Xbox/Microsoft account you are not forever locked to use that specific account.
