About the dissolution of the game production team

I saw the news on the game community that the game production team was disbanded.
Will subsequent server maintenance and bug fixes continue?
Can I still expect a sequel to this game?
I like this game very much, even if it is not perfect in some aspects
I am a player from Asia. I seldom watch discussion boards and my reception of relevant news information is not complete. Does anyone want to share relevant information?

I don't know of any news that the team is disbanded. They're all working on SoD3 now, and outsourced development on SoD2 to another studio so we can still expect minor updates.

That doesn't have anything to do with State of Decay, which is developed by Undead Labs. Jeff Strain cofounded Undead Labs, but Possibility Space is another company.

there was a dev stream recently Geoff was saying how Wushu is the team looking after sod2, they did curveballs and this last load of QoL changes , the UL team has all but stopped sod2 work as a team but most are still available and involved on as needed basis.

id be confident in the level of investment and care the devs have shown for this game to not be worried about it being abandoned.

I am also looking forward to the sequel. Of course, it would be better if I could set the appearance myself without using MODs.

Only thing I know is that some of them had a disagreement on SOD3 ideas. This caused a big delay but they are working on it still & there is no release date because they want it to be a big surprise

Who would refuse such a surprise? I'm really looking forward to it.... Don't let the damn company executives force the game to be released quickly, resulting in a bunch of imperfect optimizations and bugs

I also had a lot of great times with this game, whether it was exploring alone or playing with friends, so when I saw this news, I wanted to come here to find out more information.
