You can finish a legacy and then continue with the same community on another map, where you can unlock a new Legacy.
But you will not get to use that Boon with that community. In order to get to do that, you need to start a new legacy.
If you do that and start a new community with the unlocked Boon on the same difficulty as before, and then finish another Legacy and want to continue - but on a higher difficulty, then you will lose the Boon (unless you do all of this on Lethal).
In short, I recommend moving all your Heroes to the Legacy Pool and start a new community so that you can activate the Boon you unlock.
Remember that if you start a new community with 3 Heroes from the Legacy Pool, the new game will be more difficult already from the beginning. The difficulty (within Standard/Dread/Nightmare etc) is determined by how many Heroes you have, and how many Specialized skills they have among them... and the passing of time.
Dread is the most balanced difficulty and is recommended for newbies who do have some experience with open world action games. Nightmare and especially Lethal are meant to be unfair and stretches the capabilities of the physics engine and AI/scripting beyond their limits.
That is something I didnt even knew. Good to know, thanks.
I knew passing of time. And did notice that as I'm working my Trader boon that this start (with three completely developed heroes) was really tough. Much more so than the first one that wiped because, frankly, Meagher Valley sucks to start and I was getting crushed as I'd just come back to the game and didn't understand the new plague heart/infestation/siege rules and got myself into a no-win situation.
