I always make sure that the activation of seed sprinkling and compost bin (boosting the whole thing 3x) is active before dawn and dusk. This is especially evident when I have moved maps and are setting up the new base - if I forget to upgrade everything and activate Rationing and the food production boosts by dawn or dusk, my Food resource store can drop from 25 to 15 or less (depending on the number of survivors) when playing on Lethal.
This means that if your power and water activations run out a second before the dawn or dusk upkeep event, the Hydroponics will turn off and produce zero Food the only times it matters.
Is there in-game clock or something, how I am supposed to know when to activate these? ._.
Not sure why there is no option to auto refill the in-base generators, that's just silly, your power and water outposts are auto running all day all week, I don't see why it could not be the same for in-base generators.
because player are dumb (dont mean to offend anyone by saying this) and most would just "forget" about it, and then at some point the game would just say "hey you dont have NO MORE FUEL AT ALL to keep gene powered up", and from thsi point on you would see hundreds of angry post on steam or undead labs official website saying "my generator auto refill dried my base up of all my fuel, how do i turn it off ?"
so i guess they choosed the more, safe option
Outposts that give power (and water) will literally suck your fuel dry, but they are always on by default, can't be turned off even.
This is just bad design.
Outpost should have on/off button, generator should work the same way, and both facilities should function until the next reward time once powered, instead of "X minutes on".
