The Zombie Veterans: A Clean Slate in Two Rivers

This mission will not complete for me. I've tried many, many, times now. There are three locations to go to. But there are never any infestations there. It does not show the location as being infested on the map, nor is there an infestation actually at the location. Sometimes there are a few random zombies but that's it. I kill every zombie that I can find. But there's almost never a screamer, or if there is, they are actually meters away, down the road. And when I kill them nothing happens. The objective marker on the map does not clear, nor do I get any mission updates or anything. It's like the infestations that are supposed to be there simply are not spawning.

Does anyone know a fix or workaround for this?

I've had it too. I think that mission broke after the infestation update a while back. No workaround that I know of, sorry.

Thanks for the info.
After many,many,attempts, I decided to let the NPC, "McGurk", i think his name was, get killed by zombies. So far that has stopped the mission from spamming me since his death.

the infestation revamp killed that mission. it cant be completed thnx to that and the devs sleep.

That is unfortunate. I was thinking about it a moment ago,actually, and I was wondering if, perhaps, the infestations were not spawning at the locations because I have already destroyed all of the plague hearts. Or does that not matter?

I had it on a map with a few hearts left, so I don't think it matters. I think it's just that the spawning mechanics have changed, so whatever method the mission uses to spawn infestations are no longer valid.

I have had this one bug out on me several times. My dad just had it too at the fairgrounds. It shows 3 infestations but there aren't any zeds.

The obvious thing that is happening with those missions infestations are not static like they used to be. Once the game spawns some of them it almost immediately moves them around map closer to your base. Not sure about no plaguehearts maybe they just evaporate cause they don't belong to any existing plagueheart.
