Menu clicking noise while holding w to walk

when I hold w to walk in game, i can hear clicking like i have the game paused and scrolling through pause menu options... is this an audio bug? came out of nowhere for me, just started happening recently and was wondering if there was a fix. reinstalled the game this morning to see if it would fix the problem, but it still persists... any one else experience this?

With the last update they added button functions for some additions to the gui, specificaly with menus. Maybe try reseting the bindings to defaults?

I have something similar where when I move the camera around in-game, the (invisible) mouse cursor interacts with some UI elements that produce clicking sounds when hovered over. It's been in the game for all of the 2–3 years I've played it. Tends to happen when I exit to main menu and load into a community again.
