Revive a character?

I want to revive a character because some jerk decided to insta kill my favorite character. Any mods or file changes I can do to save her? I'm on PC and I know theirs some nexus mods I hope could possibly help with this. It’s really upsetting this happened and it’s still a shock to me that this even exists in the game. This is sooo frustrating and concerning that this could happen as soon as you join someone else’s game. It’s either I mod the game or I just not continue to play it at this point. She was a leader and had a special weapon on her as well.

I once had a mod that allowed you to revive dead community members as well as rename, customize appearance, etc. I can't quite remember how I got it but Im sure looking on nexus is where it was. Great for making custom survivors for whatever purpose but you can cheat a lot with it so if you don't like cheating you can just revive the dead survivor then move on

Nope, that only applies to the vanilla version. Theres mods that revive people. Thats why i asked if theres any mods.

Do I have to save any files beforehand? Also, I only want to revive 1 person. Maybe change a few traits for survivors and names. So is it okay if I uninstall it as soon as I am done with it? Also, would it save to a cloud file, so when I play on another device, she'll be there?

You only have to have a save file with the dead one on it.
Yep you can do the work then get rid of it, it only make changes on your save game file and once loaded the program is no longer needed.
Keep it around for anytime this happens again.

Sorry for asking again but, how exactly do I save a game file? Where do I go? When it happened to me, I uninstalled the game out of frustration and now I have to reinstall it again

The community editor will only work on your current saved game. If you uninstalled your game you might have lost your save. Sometimes when uninstalling your are asked if you want to delete your save game. State of Decay auto saves while playing and that save is the only one you can edit. After using the community editor a backup save is created. You can reload this save again into the game.

Its the game auto save that is used and you just have to make sure CE can see it is all.
Then you load up that save in CE and go to that community and it should show the dead and there is an option to bring them back alive, I do believe you may lose some of all of there stuff though.
You can give the stuff back to the npc with the CE.

Yes. I exactly don’t understand how’d he did it, but as soon as I joined, my screen was gray and she immediately fell to the ground and died. No zombies, no gas. So I just went with the idea that they had a cheat to shoot a friendly player and kill them instantly.

Hmm i see that's bad then, i hope that the Mod get's taken down or if it's a bug/glitch that it get's fixed.

hey guys, I just want to say that CE worked and shes back! I did lose some traits but I replaced them eventually. I am having a good time with this mod but I wanted to ask, is there a way to add more plague hearts? I've seen many games that I've joined where the host's number of plague hearts were over 80+. Its been boring having 280+ hours on SOD2 so I just want a challenge. If its not CE, is the name of the mod something else?

That’s such a shame. I did see a few days ago on Reddit how some pc player modded his game to have more plague hearts and even more black plague hearts. But everywhere I go, I can’t seem to find it.
