Nexus mods that give me resources?
Any Nexus mods that work after the recent update and give you resources for your base? I'm hard stuck on a NIghtmare run where the game just hates me and refuses to give me food, leading to my camp starving. Please help

There's a lot of them. I saw one last night on Nexus that made rucksacks worth double resources. Some of them that boost the output of food production buildings. Some of them that make radio calls free. Seems like there was even a mod that made food unnecessary. Just have to dig around... There's a ton of mods out there that give free stuff. (A tip - sort by downloads or endorsed to get the best ones first.)

I even installed one yesterday that made zombies drop loot. Unfortunately, the modder added a bunch of cheaty junk in it like 30% drop rate, vacuum collection, and backpacks that make everything weightless. I really didn't want it to completely ruin the game, but it seems reasonable for maybe 1 out of 20-30 to drop a few rounds or a bottle of meds. I backed over a group of zombies and had crap all over the ground lmao. Uninstalled it right off the bat.

you do you, just be careful with any old mods.

Really id stick with the community editor as the author knows what they are doing and updates its regularly.

Very low impact mods have caused crashes in the past until they got updated along with the relevant game versions

I'd probably second that carefulness. I think that zombie loot mod messed with my save... I had two broken hearts active in my save before installing it. I noticed at some point last night that there were still two broken heart curveball events up, but only one had the actual broken heart area of influence; the other had reverted back to normal. :(

I don't know that it was the mod for sure, maybe it's a purposeful mechanic to keep people from just leaving broken heart up indefinitely for slow/weak zombies (like I was lmao.) Though, I only noticed it right after I'd installed and uninstalled the loot mod. (I'd played maybe 10 hours with the set of mods before it) I had indeed thought to make a backup save, but didn't really want to mess with it. :tgrin: That was the risk I weighed and accepted, no harm no foul.

i dont mod, but the authors of many of the mods are present in the Sod2 modding discord server. Id see if theres anyone there with guidance on compatibility.

I was told a ton of mods broke with the recent update. Heck a lot of mods break every update
