i cant seem to level mechanics

cant i do it with the red talon one so i thought i should try to also build a normal one but cant while i have a red one installed

ok i decifer you want to advance mechanics community skill, but after that the text goes total haywire and makes zero and below sense.
red talon community skills are never advanceable. they all quirk skills.
and what do you mean with "red one installed" ????

ok there is a base upgrade for a red talon workshop i have built some items with it not gaining any skill in mechanics from the red talon workshop i tried building a workshop that is not a red talon one and it said i cant due to there already being a red talon one in the base

Does the action specifically state that it will train Mechanics? Not all of the actions in a workshop will train mechanics. Best choice is probably making Repair Kits.

says improve at workshops and just tested it repair kits did the job even at the red talon workshop thanks
