Yikes!
Oh look another 0 steam level, private account spewing violently misogynistic, transphobic, racist garbage.
Kinda funny that Its always the one's hiding their face that spew the worst crap.
Anyway, the fact of the matter is, SOD3 is delayed because Undead Labs was never supposed to be the next Activision. It came together to make State of Decay 1 and barely survived the State of Decay 2 release but it was already drowning in internal messes by the time Microsoft bought it literally a month later. Those issues have still not been resolved, thus no serious development has occurred.
That is all.
"This person is all the ists, I'm not going to quote him or anything, just trust me, also speech is the same as violence"
Oh look another one of the people I'm talking about
Alright, here we go then.
This is a racist and sexist statement because you're implying that by simply being women \ poc, those people aren't focused on their job, with zero proof.
Again, a pretty sexist comment considering it also is said with zero proof, and was said in in response to this quote from the article,
So somehow women experiencing misogyny is there fault for being inherently incompetent? That's pretty damn sexist.
Literally just blatant transphobic comment. You're saying that someone shouldn't be allowed in professional software development simply because they respect a wider spectrum of gender then what you do.
Again, there's zero evidence for this claim. You're just assuming all of these people were hired because they were POC\Women or had friends with the company and that they're incompetent at their job, again, because they were POC\Women. Sexist and Racist.
AND FINALLY
Oxford Dictionary, "Violent," second definition: "Showing or caused by very strong emotion." As in "The whole thing became the subject of a violent controversy."
- Violent [www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com]
All of this to say, all that politically motivated hate speech was targeting the most vulnerable groups in society to blame them for a game not coming out, again, with zero evidence.
State of Decay 3 was delayed because Undead Labs has a host of issues, not because they added some diversity into their company.
Cheers.
That's fair to point out, some/most of them probably were focused on their jobs. But they were hired for aspects of their identity rather than their qualifications, and after they were hired, the company devolved into bickering and office politics. They'd single team members that they hated out. They'd cry in meetings. It was a ♥♥♥♥ show.
The online tabloid media is sympathetic to their narrative so it gets reported in a way that makes them look like the good guys.
This was one person's anecdote, and was most likely about themselves not being listened to in meetings because they were incompetent. Every loud incompetent person will use whatever victim card on hand to explain why everyone rolls their eyes when they pipe up.
If you read the articles, you'll find that there was a woman in management, Anne Schlosser, that didn't seem to have any problem being "listened to" except, ironically, by the very people who were screeching about misogyny and sexism. It sounds like she actually tried to get them to work, which they wouldn't have reacted well to. They hated her because she didn't toe their line and wasn't part of their clique.
So which is it? Were women's opinions listened to or not?
I'm saying that they are in a social media cult and this is their cult language, and "white cishet man" is their evil outgroup that they use like a slur and blame for everything. Proof of this is literally right there in the quote. Anyone who uses language like this is broadcasting that they will not be able to work on a team with other people without causing rifts and drama.
It's kind of hilarious that you don't see your own hypocrisy here. But then that's par for the course with cults. They're always built on double standards.
The link I gave literally says they were hired on the basis of "diversity" which means they were excluding members of the majority from the hiring pool. When you do that, you're selecting from a smaller pool which means you're necessarily going to be hiring less qualified individuals. There's nothing sexist or racist about that, it's very simple high-school level math. How do you not understand this?
I'll make it as simple as possible:
If 20% of each candidate pool is qualified, and you have 100 red candidates and 30 green candidates, that means you've got 20 qualified red candidates but only 6 qualified green candidates.
If you then try to fill up 20 job placements by only selecting from the minority green group, you're going to end up with 6 qualified individuals and 14 unqualified individuals.
Please tell me you at least understand this.
But this is text, and it's text that doesn't show particularly strong emotion. So is speech violence or not?
Every source states that Undead Labs started having issues after the Microsoft aquisition. You are in blatant denial because this doesn't fit with your cult narrative that the evil cishet white males are to be blamed for everything. But the facts are that those evil cishet white males managed to crank out 2 very decent games, before being inundated with new hires. Then the productivity of the company was completely destroyed, there are stories of unhinged behavior such as crying in meetings, and the product itself is now in development hell.
