There are some occasions, when loot gets spawned (radio commands f.e.), buildings becoming lootable again (enclave) or quest-related stuff gets spawned again when a quest is started but not completed, then restarted again.
Playing on lethal difficulty has always been tiresome and quick to get bored of when you can cleanup the entire map of resources within like 3 game days. I was literally struggling to find anything even from the beginning.
I know you can trade and find resources from your radio by paying influence, but there's a thrill in having to loot places when the ENTIRE map is full of awake plague hearts and infestations. Im on my ~13th day and im not even ready to take on the world. Was only able to destroy a single heart!
You don't have to kill the Hearts in order to loot in infested areas.
Yes I know, been playing the game for years on lethal.
I just meant that so many awake plague hearts can be too much to handle for one person when the map only has like 1% resources. Plague hearts wake up so easily even though im extremely careful, then the entire map gets infested within a blink of an eye. I even had infesting hordes literally raid my outpost while I was in it adding and taking things from my locker, so I end up hauling ass before I have time to take any weapons, lol.
I always send someone to destroy an infestation by paying 1 ammo and I also try to keep them in check myself (just snipe the screamers with your silent crossbow from far away), but it's never enough. I do admit that it's sort of fun and can be used to farm influence, but my entire map has infestations because most of the plague hearts are awake now and I barely have the power to destroy just one heart, let alone 20+ (not enough ammo and no plague scent jars yet).
I think this new system should get reworked in some way. Why not let the plague hearts go back to dormant after a while or after it sends an X amount of infesting hordes?
Is this for real? Why is this not mentioned anywhere in the popup tips??? It wouldn't have mattered to me anyway because I cannot waste an outpost on a cell tower, but so weird of them not saying anything about this.
