If you look at the map while in a multiplayer game you can see the ring.
So, I can´t just do my own thing?
Nope coop is literally being a slave to the Host, nothing more... sad really...
It’s coop, so the clients are helping the host play a Campaign map (similar to single player). You don’t get your own missions, you help them do theirs.
You can run around and loot, fight, whatever up to the extent of the ring around the host.
Aaah ... okay, fair enough I guess. I just wanted someone to do the infestations while I did the missions. Guess that won´t work out.
The tether is for network connectivity as it reduces strain on systems.
Obviously you can do both as long as everything is included within the ring, but unfortunately you cannot simply go “anywhere”.
