5.56 rifles/assault rifles?

i try to make sure all of my survivors are spreading out the ammo types but i cant really seem to find many 5.56 rifles/assault rifles that can stack up to the 7.62.
anyone here have some top tier 5.56 options out there?

Masterwork assault rifle, but you need the improvised weapon station to craft it. Pretty powerful with 100 round mag.

The two best ones for your own use are:

The M4A1 DMR Heavy, which is only sold by the Gun Runners trader enclave, spawned by Warlord leader types early on in the game.

The other is the AK74U Valentine sold by the Bounty Broker. It is currently out of rotation, but you can change the date of your computer to unlock whichever BB rotation you want. That should also help you get the Network crafting station.

The third best option (with optics and good precision) is the GSG-W rifle (tied with the Sighted M4A1). It is a rare find, but is sometimes gifted to you by your crew when the community morale is at Enthusiastic.

Raider AR-15, best base defence option. In nightmare or lethal, you can find it easily in plague heart.

If you're not playing a survivor, really any automatic weapon works best, I like to keep any auto pistols for characters to defend the base, as they are useless for work out and about, but the AI are pinpoint with them.

Thats weird how it works out. I must have scrapped 25 or more GSWs now. My community keeps finding them.
