BEDS vs MORALE ?
i was wondering, which is suitable ?

i think barracks are ugly and id rather have a Lounge in its place
but im worried about the effects of not having beds.

for as long as morale is in POSITIVE position does that mean i don't need beds ?

what about SPARTAN BARRACKS vs LUXURY BARRACKS ?
does the +15 morale in LUXURY BARRACKS beat the morale lost for having only 5 beds for a community of 7+ ?

So far on my FC I've been just sticking with 1 barrack (or built-in) and 1 lounge or in rare case not enough large slot I'll do 2 barracks but most of the time is first situation then I usually rely on getting at least an enclave that gives Bed & Breakfast to balance out missing beds or Extra Beds enclave.

I think having not enough beds just simply have to endure the constant complain via radio and semi-permanent (until enough bed of course) morale debuff of not enough beds.

I only ever see Spartan and Luxury on my very first playthrough when I was figuring stuff out and I think Spartan is only effective if your survivors prefer cramped bed through trait(s)? Like ex-military traits or sleeps anywhere or sleeps outdoor, I think.

Luxury on the other hand is general plus for any situation but if you're just going to get that +15 I'd recommend just do lounge 3 and spam morale activities. Or in the case you have lots materials lying around then just upgrade you get refund anyway when you move to next map.

well i have noticed something on my survivor, im -3 on beds and after using the survivor it shows fatigued and a bit of detail says build more beds for everyone. im not sure if beds do in-fact affect something physical rather than just morale.

If you are short on beds you will have a morale penalty AND some of your survivors will not be able to recover fatigue. If you rotate them in and out long enough you can get around this, but if you've got a core 2-3 guys you like to use, being short on beds means they will never get enough rest.

you don't need beds at all.

Actually it is better to not have beds.
Just have a lounge and a level 3 infirmary for fatigue recovery.

Have a still for morale and then mods like white noise machine, comfy chairs etc.

Because getting a character with fully cuisine skill+ all the stuff above will eliminate totally the morale penalty of having no beds. Plus if you get an enclave that has beds and breakfast (for instance) they will give you food and beds capacity as well. Don't waste a slot on beds though in base.

interesting... i never use the alcohol for morale thing because of the zombie threat. i will search for enclaves that gives bed.
The penalty is minimal for beds just build a still and keep them drunk and they will follow you off a cliff. If that doesn't work get a white noise machine.

but does it make your survivors fatigue recovery slow ?
