Days Gone is more narrative focused (but open world) Fallout 4 is an open world RPG, while State of Decay 2 is more of a survival game, its more what your in the mood for, id say because Days Gone is the newest of the bunch and you can find it for 15 bucks it might be the best choice (note i JUST bought state of decay 2 so i can play on my steam deck, have quite a few hours on gamepass, and beat days gone twice on ps5)
SO leave the vault, and go towards the "Red rocket" Truck stop, talk to dogmeat and take him to the vault, access dogmeats "actions" and place the cursor on the gun box, Dogmeat will pick the gun out of the case.... It's a little frustrating to get it to work sometimes....
The other way, is more dangerous, at the start, you can recruit a companion called "Cait" and she can pick any lock level...
Thanks for the tip. Usualy i don't like to play games following any walkthrough, so i miss many things. But i will for sure pay attention to this.
With the VR version they forgot to put a collision box @ the back of that container, got that gun buy putting my arm around the back (like a U Bend) and picked it up.
Shhh dont tell Tod, ok, it our little secret.✌️
On a completely side note, I started playing F3NV then I'll get to F3 and F4 eventually.
But days gone is realllllllllllllllllllllly good especially the story. Replayability is average but it's so damn good
i have not played it. its expensive for me and it looked like a The Last of US kind of gameplay. i didn't like those gameplays as its just ROLE PLAY with no interesting gameplay mechanics like SoD2 building bases etc. does Days Gone have some interesting mechanics ?
No if you compare to SOD franchise.
They are both survival genre - sub-genre zombie apocalypse BUT Days Gone is story-rich progressive open-world survival while SOD is base-building sandbox survival.
The closest comparable to SOD is 7D2D, The Forest (kind of but not zombie) while like you said Days Gone is more close to The Last of Us AGAIN BUT it's story-rich linear progression and limited open-world (level sandbox based) survival. If Horizon Zero Dawn, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry (a little bit but no outpost capture) are zombie apocalypse themed, then Days Gone would be it.
Bike in a zombie apocalypse setting is for sure unique and one of the selling point, and rather massive (especially higher difficulty and later game) and/or responsive (challenging) zombies
