Why won't Chavez help?

I recruited his red talon buddy when I repaired the bunkroom but now, Chavez keeps saying he is busy.

I don't recall having this problem the very first time I played in this map when it came out.

i think i saw that you have to beat an upcoming quest with Izbee first, and then he frees up. I had the same problem.

Easy solution is to stay away from the whole area north of the tunnel until you fix watchtower. If you drive all over you will trigger all the story quests in Trumbull that will try to walk all over each other.

Too late for that, already started the chain, just wanted to make a quick stop at this base to get the red talon guy before moving to marshal, oh well, just another reason to hate this map haha.

I think I know the problem now, I remember canceling a mission with mickey wilkersson by not paying attention and accepting another mission with a follower, the mission have not popped back and its been a couple of in game weeks since then although I finished the quest line with Dr Hoffman and IzzBee (got the CLEO thingy) and I haven't heard from them for a while, niether did I hear from Ray, I guess the quest line is broken now :(

Is this the trumbal map? And how did you get a red talon person to join your group?

Yes, Trumbull. If you occupy and repair the old Red Talon base at the Fairgrounds, you get the option of accepting a RT member into group, since you need his help in repairing part of it.

Gotcha. I played that map at least twice, must have skipped the mission.

you can only recruit the red talon guy once per playthrough.
pretty sure you ask him to do that same quest again, which gives you the "i'm busy" thing.
i've tried the same when the map came out ^^

I know you can only recruit one of them, just trying to upgrade all facilities, only have the tower left but the story line seem bugged for the reason I mentioned. Its been years but I'm fairly certain I was able to do so the last time.
