Is online always delayed? Can't snap to target on Ferals, Grab throwing drops enemies in same spot if not just stumbling them.
For as long as I've played online, I couldn't grab and throw enemies, lock on target to ferals, and some delay is unbearable. Most of the time, the only real issues is the auto aim ferals and grab throwing. So if I didn't attempt to do either, it'd be smooth enough to pass.
When I grab an enemy from behind, then throw, they just stumble back while moving forward and go straight for an attack.

I wanted to see if there was a fix, if that's normal, or if it's just my internet without hope of improving.

Overall it's not a dealbreaker since the majority is passable considering it's online.

that sounds like high latency to me. that pretty much all depends on the host to client connection.

theres some things you can do to improve your own average latency but an equal amount of it is from your internet to the hosts system. and theres not much you can do there.

you should run something like okla speedtest on your own computer and see what latency your system has, do a couple runs

Definately sounds like high latency. You always have some latency with any online game, however usually it is within a range that interpolation can mask.

I think it might actually be a bug instead of latency. I've been doing some coop lately and have zero problems instantly aim snapping to everything except Plague Ferals. If the Feral is alone, aim snap does nothing, if it's in a group, I'm snapping to everything except the feral. Even when they are standing still like if they are aggro'd on someone standing on a car it doesn't work.

Haven't had any trouble with grabs though. I was even showing a friend who is new to the game about zombie bowling and pushing zombies into sunbathing Bloaters to pop them.

Thanks for the responses. My internet is most likely rubbish since I showed a friend my speed using a website he told me about that reads that. He almost started crying. That was years ago and since then we managed to improve it, but not a major amount.

I tried getting XFinity but I couldn't get it to work, and they don't respond, nor can I log in to cancel subscription. The chat assist goes like "Pleas sign in for help. Thank you for signing in. Please sign in for help." Someone recommended going to one of their buildings (didn't know that existed) to get personal help if I'm having no luck online or through the phone. So I may do that or consider a better internet provider. I use the one my family has for the house currently since I couldn't access the xfinity one.

The Aim Snap is only an issue for bloodplague ferals. Tho I haven't tested with regular ferals enough but they can go down shooting anywhere so it's less priority. It's the same for me that it'll snap to any other enemy that isn't them or not do anything if they're alone.
I figured that was a feature to make them harder to face if we can't instant target their weakness.
Grabs are something I use often in single player when I'm getting swarmed from a line so it's a shame that I can't do it reliably in multiplayer.

I'm considering looking at other internet providers if I can't sort out the XFinity situation, but I just wanted to see if there was likely another problem since other online games run smoother at times. I figured that'd either be closer connection to that game's source, or something else that goes beyond my understanding of technology. I'm not the most tech savy person so I appreciate the answers.

The ping said 31.
Not sure if that's good or bad but I'm thinking bad since the family just came back from movies.

well 31ms is certainly good enough. if you are on wifi youd want to look into enableing the routers 'Quality of Service" or QOS functions. Thats be something to look at on youtube for your specific router.

One thing thats much simplier to try first is your computers clock and timezone. You want to make sure the timezone is set to the correct one, possibly taking it off auto to see what it is set to. If its not correct that will for sure cause problems with networking
