Abnormal Game Save Files Size
Hi all, did anyone ever notice that after a freeze/crash happen the game will create an dmp file located in appdata-StateofDecay2-Saved-Logs: (unreal-v0-2022.05.30-18.31.15.dmp for example) which is around 2-3gb? My last community crashed many time so the Logs file is around 50gb...

It's a crash dump file. Unless you plan on sending them to UL or MS support, you can delete them.

alright tks for the suggestion bro. I just wonder can we reduce the game's crash possibility by constantly deleting them?

Nope you cannot. Check your CPU and GPU core temps. Clean out dust if that is an issue.

Don't uninstall drivers with the Nvidia or AMD tools, they do NOT clean up their mess. So when new drivers are install on top of remnants, things tend to go bad. Use DDU to wipe all of the old away before installing new drivers... the right way, the safe boot way. So read the instructions.

The game itself is rock solid. I have run it 3 days for 24 hours with no crash, just idling while I wasn't playing... and that is on Win7, which isn't even supported.

Can be a range of other technical problems, so I cannot say for sure why you get CTDs... but you shouldn't.

I know this sounds hackneyed, but it's so true and can make a huge difference.

Well i use an open rig and always monitor the temps by using msi afterburner so temp&dust shouldn't be the case, but i guess the crash could be amd's graphic driver problem or some optimisation problems, since i already spot some blurred graphics in marshal last night. But it was okay after restart the game.
