The downloads of the models in .pdf are just for informational purposes, just so you can see how big of a variety there is,
It is not luck... things are railroaded in story line, and first sandbox. Just play the game. Things will be fine. IF you read the THREAD I linked you would understand, that there are certain technical limitations of the face scans, which means certain features of humans do not appear... such as eye spacing.
That does not mean all the faces are the same. Just play enough to get off the railroad of tutorial play (yes story is tutorial play), and you will be fine.
It would be interesting if they did a DLC where you could get your face in the game or something.
